Why patients choose us

Hospital-grade clinical nutrition, made practical

InBody scan included

InBody body composition analysis at all three offices. Track fat vs muscle, not just kilograms. Included in most consultations at no extra charge.

Ward to follow-up

Daily inpatient cover at Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt, Durbanville and Cape Gate. The dietitian who saw you in hospital sees you at follow-up, so there’s no starting over.

Your doctor stays in the loop

We send a written report back to your referring doctor within 48 hours of your visit, so your care stays joined-up.

Medical aid made simple

Our Bellville & Panorama practice claims directly from most schemes. Our Durbanville practice gives you a fully coded invoice to submit for reimbursement. Either way, we tell you what to expect before you book.

Medical aid & costs

Most medical aids cover your visits

Most major schemes cover 2–6 dietitian visits per year, and many other schemes (GEMS, Polmed, Bestmed and more) cover dietitian visits under Prescribed Minimum Benefits for chronic conditions like diabetes, kidney disease, oncology and pregnancy.

How billing works depends on your practice. Our Bellville & Panorama practice is contracted to Discovery, Momentum, Bonitas and Medihelp and claims directly from your scheme, so most visits cost little or nothing on the day. Our Durbanville practice bills you on the day and gives you a fully coded invoice to submit to your scheme for reimbursement. Both teams check what to expect before your first appointment and write PMB motivation letters where required.

Good to know

Questions patients ask us most

Will my medical aid cover this?
Most major schemes cover 2–6 dietitian visits per year, and chronic conditions like diabetes, kidney disease and oncology are often PMB-eligible. Our Bellville & Panorama practice claims directly from your scheme; our Durbanville practice gives you a coded invoice to submit for reimbursement. We tell you what to expect before your first appointment.
Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book directly with us. That said, some medical aids reimburse better with a referral for chronic conditions, so if you have one, ask your GP or specialist for a quick referral letter.
What happens at my first visit?
A 45–60 minute session covering your full nutrition history, a clinical review of your medication and blood work, an optional InBody body composition scan, and a personalised written plan, often with a 7-day starter menu.
